He is an advocate with 34 years of experience in the Bombay High Court & Supreme Court of India, specializing in Labor & Service Law. He is a former General Counsel of Tata Consultancy Services and Union Bank of India. He is a known expert in the field of labour law, industrial law and service matters. As a Special Counsel working closely with the Additional Solicitor General, Maharashtra, he represented Government of India in the Bombay High Court. He completed his graduation with a First Class in BSc (Hons) (1972) and a PG with Industrial Relations (MLW & IR) - with a First Class securing Second Rank in Bombay University (1972). A Law graduate (LL.B.) from the University of Bombay through New Law College (1975-78), he also qualified as an “International Graduate” in Training for Trainers from the JCI Training Institute, USA (1995).
